MOE-Tox Complete Profile
The MOE-Tox Complete Profile combines the markers of the Organic Acids Profile, Environmental Pollutants Profile, and the MycoToxin Panel into one comprehensive report to provide a complete snapshot of a patient's mitochondrial function and toxic burden.
The MOE-Tox Complete Profile tests for a total of 66 markers.
Testing Process: ELISA
The Mycotoxin Panel is run using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). An established immunological technique, ELISA is widely used to detect the presence of specific antibodies or antigens in a patient’s blood.
The ELISA method detects mycotoxins that have been structurally modified within the body providing more accurate results than similar testing run through mass spectrometry.
LC-MS/MS
Liquid Chromatography/ Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) instrumentation is used to quantitatively evaluate patient urine specimens for metabolically-derived organic acids and evidence of exposure to environmental pollutants. Our Urinary Metabolic Profile is run on this comprehensive testing platform, which offers superb separation, resolution, and identification of compounds from a complex biological mixture such as urine, yielding precise and repeatable results.
Collection Instructions:
The MOE-Tox Complete Profile requires a combination of liquid urine and dried urine samples which can be collected together as a single first morning void.
The specimen requirements are 1 dried urine card, and 3 ml of liquid urine.
